TITAN specialise in the manufacturing of steel strapping, PET strapping, strapping tools and automatic strapping systems for the steel, timber, aluminium, hay, cotton, zinc, lead, construction, paper and cardboard industries.
About the Opportunity
Due to an exciting growth period, TITAN now has an opportunity for an Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer to join their team in Adelaide, on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Director, Asia Pacific, with secondary reporting through to TITAN's German R&D team, this brand new position will see you providing project support to the German and Australian TITAN businesses, with a focus on rewriting programs for installations.
Day-to-day duties will include (but not be limited to):
- PLC software development (S7 controller, TIA Portal);
- Commissioning of customer projects;
- Programming of servo drives and frequency converters;
- Planning and implementation of visualizations (TIA Portal, WIN CC);
- Connection and programming of sensors, measuring systems and remote monitoring;
- Documentation of interfaces, connection diagrams and visualizations as part of series product maintenance;
- Creating schematics;
- Electrical connection of machines and machine components; and
- Control technology connection to higher-level machines and machine components.
About You
To be considered for this position you will hold tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and demonstrated experience in PLC programming.
You will have advanced knowledge of EPLAN Electric P8 and experience in handling S7 controllers (TIA Portal), as well as visualisation software, ideally SIMATIC WinCC flexible. A basic knowledge of SAGE ERP, network technology and C, C++ will be desirable but is not mandatory.
Importantly, TITAN is looking for a good people person, with strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders. An analytical thinker, you will have a flexible approach to your work and the ability to troubleshoot problems and adapt to constantly changing situations.
