About the Opportunity
AWH now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to join their Yennora team on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the logistics area by ensuring the effective implementation of daily plans. This will be achieved by actively managing team performance.
More specifically, your key duties will include (but won't be limited to):
- Allocating tasks as required and regularly monitoring performance to ensure operational delivery;
- Supervising the operation of all machinery including operating hours, service and maintenance requirements;
- Ensuring regular audits and spot checks are conducted to confirm compliance with storage and segregation requirements;
- Successfully implementing daily plans;
- Reporting current performance to the Site Manager as required;
- Participating in inspections, incident investigations, and safety committee as required; and
- Ensuring employees complete allocated training.
To be successful in this role you will need to have demonstrated hands-on experience in an operations management role within a transport/logistics environment. It is also essential that you have Container Park Management experience.
Your ability to be a strong leader who can get stuck in and help get the job done will be key to your success in this role. As such, you will need to be an exceptional leader with successful people management and performance management skills. You will be able to motivate your team to work to the best of their ability in an approachable and supportive manner. A proactive nature, great work ethic, and loyalty are paramount!
