About the roles

AARR now have multiple roles full-time roles available based in Redhead, NSW. These roles include a Construction Supervisor, Foreman, 2IC, and crew members.

Construction Supervisor

Reporting to the Director, your main responsibility will be to oversee, direct, advise, and instruct various asphalting crews across the organisation.

More specifically, your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Planning and coordination of works;
  • Ensuring coordination of WHS, Quality Assurance, and Environmental Systems on the job sites;
  • Controlling and conducting toolbox meetings each day;
  • Working within standard operating procedures and job safety analysis; and
  • Training and mentoring construction team members in new skills.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in a similar position with - an understanding of asphalting - and the ability to operate a variety of machinery. To view a complete list, please click here.

It essential in this role that you have strong and approachable leadership and multitasking skills.

Excellent organisation, solid computer skills, and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role.

Please note: Candidates must hold a current unencumbered driver's licence and have the ability to travel regionally as required.

Foreman

Reporting to the Construction Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to implement and initiate work activities that are passed on by the Construction Supervisor.

More specifically, your main duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Leading an asphalt crew in all aspects of asphalt works;
  • Taking direction from the Construction Supervisor and advising crew members;
  • Motivating and leading team members to ensure maximum productivity;
  • Organising equipment and loading the day prior;
  • Participating in the pre-planning for all jobs; and
  • Training crew members on the job.
