About the Opportunity

The Village Retirement Group now has an opportunity for an experienced Sales Consultant to join their sales team at The Village Yeronga. This role is initially being offered on a full-time basis, however will likely drop back to 3-4 days per week once initial off-the-plan villa sales have been completed. This is a 5 day per week role, including Saturdays, with flexibility around which other days you work.

Reporting to and working alongside the Village Yeronga Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for the promotion and marketing of the services, facilities, features and benefits of retirement lifestyles to the target market, with the intention of generating enquiries to sell the apartments at The Village Yeronga.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and conducting advertising, promotions, sponsorships, community consultations, retirement seminars and other marketing activities which are conducted to generate enquiries and potential sales opportunities;
  • Developing and maintaining a database of prospects from the enquiries generated by the advertising and marketing activities;
  • Responding to walk-in, phone and email enquiries from potential prospects about the Village Yeronga;
  • Preparing relevant documentation to enable purchasers to execute the 'Application for Residency' form and secure the unit of their choice;
  • Maintaining a policy of 'before and after sales' service to ensure that the resident's move into the Village is a pleasant, positive experience; and
  • Attending Village functions, as required, to maintain personal relationships with the Village residents, in order to generate referrals for future sales.

About You

To be considered for this position you will have a solid background in a sales, KPI driven environment and the ability to engage with the community and residents to generate and convert quality leads to achieve sales targets. You do not necessarily need to have a real estate license, residential sales or retirement living sales experience, although any of these would be an advantage.

Key to your success will be an engaging and empathetic personality and the ability to manage a prospect through the buying process from initial enquiry through to moving into their new home. You will be a team player with strong communication and negotiation skills, who is excited about the opportunity to learn from and work with the Sales Manager to convert leads to successful sales.

This role would be well-suited to a mature individual, mid to late career, who is comfortable communicating with an older demographic of clientele and looking to drop back their hours from full-time to part-time in the next 12 months.
