About the opportunity

FranklinCovey now has multiple unique opportunities for motivated Business Development Executives to join their team. This role is being offered on a full-time, work from home basis with the successful candidates required to reside within Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne. 

Reporting to the General Manager, your main responsibility will be to present FranklinCovey solutions to key decision makers within targeted accounts and to grow sales within a designated territory. 

You will also build mutually beneficial business relationships and present compelling presentations to clients to close business.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Initiating new business by targeting medium to large sized accounts for strategic penetration;
  • Calling on mid to senior-level executives and other representatives to generate product, program, and consulting sales;
  • Diagnosing and assessing client needs and prescribing, designing, and implementing strategic interventions using the full range of existing or custom Franklin Covey content, products, and programs;
  • Presenting and providing individual client solutions;
  • Designing custom programs and tailoring standard programs to meet individual client needs;
  • Designing account strategies and business development to develop new and existing accounts; and
  • Closing business consistently within the Franklin Covey guidelines developed for product and services mix and pricing.

About you

To be successful in this role, candidates will need to have significant experience in a similar sales/business development role and a proven track record of sales and high performance in a large corporate environment. 

As you are selling FranklinCovey solutions to clients - as opposed to selling products - it is critical that you come from a consultative sales background. You will also be proficient in the areas of lead generation, forecasting, and prospecting and driving opportunities to closure.

Your polished presentation, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to deliver compelling presentations to clients will be crucial to your success in the role.

As such, it is essential that you are able to self-manage your schedule efficiently and effectively. A high level of self-discipline, drive, and motivation to perform well in the role is paramount.

While not essential, candidates who hold a relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
