As an Advisory Services Consultant you will be engaged with leading blue-chip global businesses, acting in an Analytics Consultancy role advising clients on improvements to their advertising & marketing strategies to deliver incremental revenue and ROI.

Examples of the types of projects you may be involved in:

  • Provide data-driven consulting to clients on their digital advertising initiatives, by analyzing cookie-level data through a combination of proprietary tools. Make recommendations on means of optimizing each client’s unique objective function, such as maximum unique reach or lowest cost per acquisition
  • Support the optimisation of clients marketing spend, identifying improvements to strategies, channel mix, spend levels etc to improve ROI and help clients hit their sales goals.
  • Change management of clients, embedding analytics into clients business processes and ensuring implementation of improved strategies to drive ROI
  • Conduct Multi-Touch Attribution studies reveal the true value of each channel/publisher.
  • Perform Closed Loop analysis to identify the impact of online advertising on online/offline sales across all response channels and identify the true Return on Marketing Investment.
  • Help build business cases for various marketing strategies (e.g., awareness vs. direct response)

Primary tasks:

  • Drive analysis and generate insights in client engagements in the media analytics, segmentation, and targeting spaces:
    • Gather client objectives and distill key conditions of success
    • Identify data and information required to deliver projects, management of project data and responsible for overall data quality
    • Create project plans
    • Serve as the key analyst on the project; coordinate final deliverable by building and leveraging a deep expertise with proprietary Neustar MarketShare’s DecisionCloud software (SaaS)
    • Provide continuous updates to Neustar MarketShares managers and clients
    • Liaise with clients and be their day to day contact consultant
    • Help translate insights to actions/next steps and provide support with implementation and in-market analysis
  • Help Account Executives with sales support tasks to continue to help close new deals
  • Make recommendations to Neustar MarketShare’s Product teams to help improve our platforms, tools and analytical offerings and help stay ahead of customers’ evolving needs    

What you need:

  • Tertiary qualification in business/ insights/analytics or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in marketing/media analytics
  • Strong comfort with numbers, though no advanced statistical qualifications are needed
  • Storytelling skills to distill vast quantities of data and insights into a few strategic “so whats”, and explain these to clients in a way that makes intuitive sense
  • Comfort presenting findings to clients, and owning the follow-ups from them
  • Consulting skills to go beyond what a client is asking for and figure out what they really want but are having trouble articulating
  • Experience in working with SaaS tools
  • Good commercial acumen
  • An ability to translate high level client questions into day-to-day tasks
  • Experience handling projects of different priorities for different stakeholders
  • A can-do attitude and desire to grow a business unit in a fast-moving industry
