About the role:

The Livestock Officer reports to the General Manager Livestock and works within the Agribusiness support team, based in our Roma office. With some flexibility around working hours, for the most part involving earlier starts & finishes.

This role is critical to supporting the uninterrupted, smooth supply of livestock internally and externally by managing and reporting information and data accurately, by effectively communicating and problem solving with internal stakeholders, external agents, vendors and buyers.  Being a self- sufficient operator, you'll need to work diligently to meet the required deadlines for reporting, invoicing & general administration activity involved with livestock movements from vendors, company properties and feedlots, through to our processing facility. 

About you

This unique opportunity will be ideal for a super-efficient, highly organised administrator (ideally with exposure to livestock) who thrives working autonomously or as part of a team. You will need to have at least 2 years demonstrated success in a similar administration role where you've effectively managed multiple stakeholders, worked methodically and systematically, along with:   

  • Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Confident communication & ability to relate well to a range of stakeholders
  • Professional email & phone manner
  • Accurate numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Effectively managing multiple points of contact
  • Organisation & time management skills
  • Proactive problems solving ability
  • Familiar with NLIS data base management & transfer
