Australian Country Choice is one of the largest privately-owned companies in Queensland and a long-established producer and supplier of high quality beef products to the Coles Group. Our Head Office and modern food processing facility is located at Cannon Hill, just 20 minutes from the CBD.
We have an exciting an opportunity for a practical self-starter Human Resources Manager who can operate effectively in a service orientated and team environment. You will have practical experience in supporting management in negotiation of multiple EBA's in a unionised and non-unionised environment and held high level responsibility for work place safety.
Your background will highlight your ability to lead small teams in providing exceptional operational HR / Payroll / Reception support that will allow the business to continue to be efficient and succeed through managing its employees fairly and effectively.
Personally and commercially savvy, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum 8 years experience in HR, you will bring a level headed and pragmatic approach to your work and you are known as a team player, hard worker and people leader with a genuine interest and understanding of business drivers.
To be successful in this role you will bring a well-rounded HR Management background, having recently led HR teams in medium to large sized businesses. Ideally you will have worked in organisations that employ a diverse workforce (ideally with a blue-collar component) and over multiple sites.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will hold a pivotal role within the organisation. You will be joining a company that will provide you with an energetic and committed team to work with, while providing you with a challenging, rewarding and hands on role to make your own.
Your role will be to ensure a smooth and efficient roll out of policies and procedures, deal with all aspects of employee relations. You will ensure all training and development is implemented in line with the organisation's requirements and that employees' needs are met to support and drive operations to deliver high quality output and people results.
Policies and Procedures - development of policies and procedures incorporating the OH&S, Quality, Training and Development, Recruitment and Selection, Inductions, Industrial Relations etc.
Employee Relations - Developing employment contracts, providing advice and support to Line Managers, negotiating with unions, ensuring the company is compliant with all relevant employment legislation.
Training and Development - Ensuring all training and development is relevant to organisational and individual needs. Working closely with Line Managers to conduct training needs analyses.
