Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Fitter - Opal Creek Feedlot

About the role

Joining a small team and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at our Opal Creek Feedlot, you'll be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintenance and repairs of mobile and stationary plant
  • Basic welding and thermal cutting
  • Maintenance of a modern feedmill, elevators, augers, belt conveyors, steam flakers
  • Compliance with workplace health & safety, environment and quality procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic work environment

About you:

You'll bring relevant practical experience and take great pride in your work.  Along with a commitment to working safety, you'll have: 

  • Trade qualifications, or a high level of competency/skills gained through experience
  • Sound communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously & manage priorities
  • Attention to detail & accuracy
  • Reliability & strong work ethic
