About the Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Senior Digital Marketing Strategist will be responsible for coordinating, developing and managing digital and social media content creation for all the digital media platforms. The ideal candidate will be consumer centric with strong passion for delivering relevant and engaging visual content. Creative and strategic thinkers with strong time management and attention to detail skills who work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively need apply!

Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Execution of all digital tactics, including sales promotions, campaign rollouts, store grand openings, in-store & social media promotions and contests, sponsorship and partnership promotions and local marketing requests; attend events as required
  • Create, edit and publish innovative and relevant content for various social platforms using online software (Sprout Social)
  • Maintain and stay connect with our registered membership through our email platforms (CMC)
  • Attract potential customer by using social media to facilitate and create promotional and educational information
  • Facilitate online conversations and respond to inquiries from our customers
  • Considering web traffic and other customer engagement metrics, develop and maintain a social media posting strategy and schedule
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of marketing materials
  • Create reports regarding social media analytics online reviews and customer feedback and other analytical information
  • Maintain and optimize digital display and search ads, and create re-targeting ads based on analytic results
  • Use existing content from vendors and manufacturers to create social media content
  • Ensure maximum effectiveness by staying up-to-date changes to social platforms
  • Maintain highly collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Research current social media trends and collaborating with internal and external partners
  • Ensure all social media information compliance with all federal and provincial legislation
  • Generate and analyze reports of marketing data as requested
  • Create copy and creative writing for all advertising material
  • Other digital related tasks as required

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing and/or Communications
  • Minimum, 7-10 years of Digital and/or Communication experience in a retail corporate environment preferred
  • Highly proficient using Sprout Social and previous experience using MediaWire, MagicInfo and Vnox, Asana, CyberNet
  • Previous agency, retail and/or liquor industry experience considered an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications

  • Understanding of content marketing principles and ability to integrate them into social media publishing tactics

  • Ability to adapt quickly in a high paced changing environment while staying on top of the latest trends and processes relating to your field
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain rapport with all levels of the organization
  • Results-oriented professional with a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks with a high level of accuracy
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and efficiency
  • Strong time management skills with an ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment as well as independently
  • Proven copy writing skills, with high levels of attention to detail and strong editorial capability
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance
