Adelaide Oval has long been one of Australia’s most recognisable and prestigious venues. Its prominent location as the centrepiece of the Adelaide CBD’s revitalised riverbank precinct, along with stunning panoramic views over the city, the Oval’s hallowed turf, St Peter’s Cathedral and beyond, makes Adelaide Oval an outstanding destination.
The Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority (AOSMA) is the organisation responsible for the management of the redeveloped Adelaide Oval precinct and is a joint venture between football (South Australian National Football League) and cricket (South Australian Cricket Association). In addition to running the stadium, AOSMA is responsible for the delivery of a tourism program including Adelaide Oval Tours, the newly launched Commonwealth Bank RoofClimb as well as what is believed to be the world’s only fine dining restaurant within a sports stadium – Hill of Grace Restaurant.
AOSMA employs approx. 180 full-time staff, plus 1,800 casual employees, in roles including operations, customer service, chefs, cooks, supervisors, baristas, bar and functions staff and stores attendants, making Adelaide Oval one of the state’s largest employers in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
As well as managing a busy function and event business at Adelaide Oval, AOSMA also oversees the hospitality services for a number of off-site venues including Titanium Security Arena, Ukaria Cultural Centre and Monarto Zoo.
Hill of Grace Restaurant
Adelaide Oval and Henschke Hill of Grace, both iconic and sacred in their own right, are united in a unique South Australian collaboration called the Hill of Grace Restaurant.
The Hill of Grace Restaurant at Adelaide Oval offers an exceptional dining experience overlooking the hallowed turf, with a menu inspired by the bounty of South Australia’s truly magnificent produce and ingredients.
Our dishes have been carefully crafted keeping in mind a seasonal food philosophy with a strong focus on the use of locally grown, farmed or fished produce.
The Hill of Grace Restaurant offers both a la carte and degustation options and is open to the public for dinner five nights a week as well as for lunch on Fridays. On major event days at Adelaide Oval, the restaurant offers Audi Stadium Club members an outstanding and unique dining experience.
Adelaide Oval are seeking passionate hospitality professionals to join our prestigious Hill of Grace Restaurant team. This is a rare opportunity to become the newest member of our highly skilled team in a casual capacity.
We are looking for individuals who are experienced, knowledgeable and service orientated.
As a member of the Hill of Grace restaurant team you will be passionate about local food and beverages, be highly organised, display excellent presentation and communication skills and have a desire to learn.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive industry experience
- Availability to work over a 7 day roster
- Reliable, hardworking and self motivated
- Previous experience in 5 star quality restaurant with full table service
- A passion for South Australian food and wine with demonstrated knowledge
- Immaculate presentation and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skill with fluency in English
- Enthusiastic and energetic personality
- Ability to work as a strong team player
- RSA certification
- Knowledge of WHS and Food Hygiene Standards
*To be eligible for this (and comply with liquor licensing requirements) you must be 18 years of age or over.
Out of hours work is a requirement of this role, in line with business operations of the Hill of Grace Restaurant.
