Restaurant F&B Attendants, Oval Hotel

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager - Oval Hotel, you will be responsible for providing 5 star customer service to all guests attending the Hill of Grace Restaurant, Bespoke Wine Bar & Kitchen and the Stadium Club for the duration of the 2020 AFL season. As an integral part of our Oval Hotel pre-opening team, you will be involved in the transformation of these spaces on every customer service level. You will be wine savvy, have a genuine passion for food and local produce and present with an upbeat corporate image. This will be your opportunity to grow with the team and ready yourself for ongoing regular shifts with the official launch of Oval Hotel in September 2020.

To be successful, you must demonstrate a true dedication to exceptional customer service and have a 'guest obsessed' focus. Previous experience in hotels, A-la-cart table service and/ or fine dining restaurants is essential.

 

The role

We are looking for well versed hotel and hospitality staff to initially support our Event Day operation within our Stadium Club, newly renovated Hill of Grace Restaurant and the brand new Bespoke Wine Bar & Kitchen. These positions will commence from 19th March 2020, just in time for AFL season. Initially only 1 day per week (event days), these positions will have the opportunity to mature with increased regular ongoing shifts following the opening of Oval Hotel.

Ideal candidates must have the ability to work independently, have the desire to go above & beyond, be able to multi-task, have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and be a team player. It is essential that you are available to work the next 24 major event days which can be found in the 'whats on' section of our website: Whats On.

About you

We are seeking employees who have the following:

  • High end or corporate clientele exposure
  • Table waiting, bar, restaurant and barista experience
  • Exceptional customer service (5 star)
  • Professional presentation and exceptional communication skills
  • Availability to work across the next 24 major event days (weekends)
  • Ability to work in large, busy and fast paced restaurant environments (350+pax)

Demonstrated experience in the following will be highly regarded:

  • Minimum 2 years front of house experience in the hotel / corporate hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in fine dining restaurants
  • Banquet experience
  • Hotel Management or Hospitality Qualifications
  • POS and EFTPOS experience
  • RSA and Food Hygiene/Food Safety qualifications are mandatory for these roles

 

To be successful for a position at Adelaide Oval, applicants must possess their Food Handling and Responsible Service Alcohol certificates at the time of your application (candidates must attach both certificates on application.)
