The Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority (AOSMA) is the organisation responsible for the management of the redeveloped Adelaide Oval precinct and is a joint venture between football (South Australian National Football League) and cricket (South Australian Cricket Association). The Oval, a world-class, multi-purpose 53-thousand seat stadium is Adelaide’s number one tourism destination attracting over 1.8 million visitors each year and is a significant contributor to the State’s tourism assets with the award winning RoofClimb and Stadium tours. 

AOSMA employs approximately 180 full-time staff, plus 1,500 casual employees, in roles including operations, customer service, chefs, cooks, supervisors, baristas, bar and functions staff and stores attendants, making Adelaide Oval one of the state’s largest employers in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

As well as managing a busy function and event business at Adelaide Oval, AOSMA also oversees a number of additional venues including, Oval Hotel, Ukaria Cultural Centre, Monarto Zoo, Koffee Ink, (A)Lure and, the Malt Shovel Taphouse.

Full Time & Part Time Chef Positions

Its your thyme to shine! Due to internal promotions we have a range of Full Time and Part Time Chef Positions available to join our world class Adelaide Oval kitchen brigade. Be a flash in the pan. 

Full Time Chef de Partie - What you will be doing

  • The Chef de Partie will run a specific section in the kitchen.
  • Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within a section.
  • Assisting the Senior Chef team in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
  • Ensuring the correct use of inventory control systems, purchasing and delivery of supplies through supply options, suppliers, product quality, cost levels and contract negotiations.
  • Compliance with the business rules (WHS, RSA, HACCP)
  • Managing and training any Commis Chefs.

Full Time Commis Chef - What you will be doing

  • The Commis Chef will assist the Chef de Partie in the delivery of Venue Hospitality food services. 
  • Assisting in the food preparation process at a world class venue. 
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes.
  • Assisting other Chefs in the kitchen Brigade. 
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking.
  • Assisting with stock rotation and cleaning stations.
  • Compliance with the business rules (WHS, RSA, HACCP)

Part Time Cook - What you will be doing

  • Providing food services to a world class standard.
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Assists the Venue Hospitality Brigade during the food assembly process.
  • Compliance with the business rules (WHS, RSA, HACCP).

To be successful in these roles, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications or an equivalent trade qualification.
  • Extensive industry experience.
  • Be able to maintain high workloads, and meet deadlines within specified time frames.

 Out of hours work is a requirement of this role, in line with the business operations of Adelaide Oval. This includes weekend work and working on Major Event Days at Adelaide Oval.
