Duty Manager - Malt Shovel Taphouse

Overlooking the Torrens Riverbank and Iconic Adelaide Oval, Malt Shovel Taphouse is the place to be. With a unique variety of craft beers and a superb menu, it is a place perfect for any occasion, whether it is to dine, drink, or be entertained with family or friends.

We're on the lookout for a high energy, hands-on Duty Manager to step into the action! As a Duty Manager, you will support the Venue Manager and help lead a buzzing FOH team that thrives in a fast-paced environment, while also driving daily operations, keeping up to date with key nightlife trends, and working with external stakeholders to deliver outstanding events.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the Malt Shovel Taphouse, including opening and closing of the venue.
  • Provide management, support, training and guidance to F&B staff (both restaurant and bar).
  • Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, council regulations, food safety, WHS and other relevant legislations.
  • Set up of venue events and functions, and liaising with stakeholders when necessary.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with senior staff and kitchen teams. 

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role, specifically within the hospitality industry.
  • Sound knowledge of beers and craft beers, wine & various cocktails.
  • A positive attitude with an extremely high level of enthusiasm.
  • A thirst for growth with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high demand situations.

The fine print:

Night and Weekend work is a requirement of this role, in line with the business operations.
