Assistant Events Manager
Adelaide Oval is one of Australia's most iconic venues, renowned for delivering world-class events and unforgettable experiences. We are seeking a driven Assistant Events Manager to support the Senior Events Manager to help deliver show-stopping functions and events at Adelaide Oval.
This is a senior, hands-on role where you'll be put in the spotlight leading and mentoring our Functions & Events team while overseeing the planning and delivery of unforgettable experiences. This role plays a key part in driving sales success, refining event processes and ensuring seamless collaborations with departments around the company.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans in collaboration with leaders to drive both short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Mentoring and supporting the Functions and Events team, contributing to onboarding and training across the wider team.
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to ensure world-class event delivery.
- Maximising the utilisation of Adelaide Oval's Functions and Events facilities on both event days and non-event days.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Proven experience in event sales and planning in a large-scale venue, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire team performance and positive culture.
- Strong commercial acumen - proposal writing, forecasting, and CRM management experience.
- A cool head under pressure and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Significant experience in a senior events role or relevant qualifications
