Integration Aide Traineeship - Balwyn Location

APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services are seeking an individual to train as an Integration Aide with a Special Developmental School located in Balwyn. Our trainee will assist teaching staff, and provide care and supervision for students. The successful candidate will work 5 days per week for 12 months whilst completing a nationally recognised qualification, which is delivered during the school holidays.

Responsibilities:

Provide routine support for teachers and students
Communicate with teachers about routine matters
Provide basic physical and emotional care for students such as toileting, meals and lifting
Communicate with students about comprehension of basic task information
Address immediate behaviour issues relating to specific students within a classroom setting
Assist with the coordination and planning of student routines
Assist with yard duty
Preparation of resources

Skills and Experience:

Good communication skills
Patient in dealing with people
Mature and sensible
Enjoy helping children learn
Able to work as part of a team
Able to accept direction and supervision

Requirements:

Working with Children check (or be prepared to process one)
