An opportunity has arisen for an experienced QA Supervisor to join the team in Sydney on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a collaborative and dynamic work culture, a great management team and genuine development opportunities.

About the Role

Reporting to the QA Manager NSW, the QA Supervisor role is responsible for assisting in developing, planning and directing in-plant quality assurance programs to ensure that raw materials and finished products conform to ARYZTA quality specifications, standards, legislative compliance and customer expectations.

 Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains a comprehensive Quality Assurance manual including up to date technical data, standards and policies
  • Develops and recommends quality specifications and standards for raw materials, the production process and finished products
  • Conducts various evaluations and testing such as: shelf-life, product evaluation, environmental/laboratory tests
  • Records and distributes all test results as required
  • Completes product ingredient listings, nutritional panels, and reviews and verifies label compliance for regulatory review
  • Statistical Process Control, develops, implements and train staff on 'on-line – real-time' systems, reviews data and makes recommendations to optimize products or processes
  • Product Development – ensures compliance to the process of new and existing products; ensuring all associated Quality Assurance requirements for customer requirements are complete
  • Conducts complaint and internal non-conformance investigations and raises supplier non-conformances communicating directly with the supplier to follow up non –conformance report information/close out
  • Ensures compliance with ARYZTA Quality Policies

 About You

The successful incumbent will be passionate about delivering quality solutions! You will be action-orientated with the confidence to develop close working relationships key stakeholders across the business.

  • 2 years + QA experience in an FMCG environment
  • Relevant qualification in Food Technology; Food Science, Chemistry or Microbiology
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, HACCP, Internal Auditing, Australian Food Safety Legislation
  • Intermediate MS Office skills

This role will predominantly be: Sunday 9am - 5pm, Monday to Thursday 6am – 2pm however, flexibility is required for coverage as per business needs.
