System Administrator

Autism SA is a leading provider of services to individuals and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Australia.

Reporting to the Business Support Manager, this position supports Autism SA’s ICT environment by providing second level advice and problem resolution across the organisation. The role is a key liaison point for Autism SA’s outsourced network vendor and will undertake day to day support of existing ICT systems, as well as project management and implementation roles.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Proactive management, diagnosis and monitoring of systems
  • Testing, documentation and implementation of a range of systems, including integration and staff training
  • Providing advice, recommendations and monitoring delivery and roll-out of new hardware
  • Supporting the implementation of upgrades and changes to IT infrastructure
  • Development, review and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Respond to unplanned events that adversely affect the network or environment
  • Undertake and assist with a range of IT projects

Essential Experience:

  • At least three years’ systems administration experience
  • Advanced systems support, administration, implementation and maintenance
  • Trouble-shooting and supporting Microsoft desktop and laptop systems
  • Trouble-shooting and supporting mobile devices and wireless access points
  • Business systems, information and communications technology environments including working with contracted managed services
  • Working with a range of databases including CRM Systems
  • Project planning and implementation
  • Working in a complex service environment
  • Working with a range of stakeholders to deliver effective and timely service

The successful applicant will have the ability to set priorities, plan and organise their own workload as well as have the ability to deal well with pressure and continual change. Well-developed communication and customer service skills with the ability to relate effectively to a wide range of people is critical. 

This position is a 6 month fixed term contract initially, with the possibility of extension.
