Autism SA has been providing specialised services to the South Australian community since 1964. We are the leading provider of specialised services to people with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the State and our national networks ensure an ongoing commitment to specialised services and resources across Australia.
Volunteering with Autism SA is a fun and rewarding way to make a real difference in the lives of those living with autism. It's a great way to add to your resume and give back to the community.
You can donate your time and skills in a variety of ways such as:
- Making visual resources for our therapists
- Cleaning/gardening at one of our respite houses;
- Building outdoor equipment at our respite houses;
- Collecting donations at events or out in the community;
- Revitalising offices and therapy spaces;
- Assisting at Autism SA stands - raising awareness and collecting donations;
- Assisting at community events – such as Autism Friendly events;
- Assisting at other Autism SA events;
- Assisting with internal administration tasks;
- IT project management and consultancy;
- Data manipulation;
- Plus many others!
You can give as little as a just few hours per week and up to 15 hours per week or . We also accept corporate volunteers.

Please note that all volunteers must obtain a satisfactory DCSI child related screening Criminal History Assessment before commencement. Autism SA can arrange this on your behalf at no cost to you.
