About the Role
The Road Maintenance Surveillance Officer will ensure programmed and reactive road maintenance activities undertaken by various contractors on Council’s road network meet the specified standards through the provision of ongoing surveillance and auditing.
As a new role within the Road Maintenance Team, this position will support the team in the development of the necessary processes to ensure compliance and performance requirements are routinely met.
In addition this role will assist in the collection of asset data to support the development of new strategic maintenance programs to achieve best for network outcomes.
About the Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will enjoy working in the dynamic area of road maintenance and able to work collaboratively with Contractors to obtain best for network outcomes.
The qualifications and experience required for the position include:
- A degree in Civil Engineering which is eligible for membership of Institute of Engineers (Australia) or relevant Engineering Diploma, or extensive road maintenance or civil construction experience.
- Experience in customer service.
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
