Salary:  $940.70 - $988.35 per week + super (further salary progression available)

Position Status: Permanent full time

Hours of work: 35 hour week (with a RDO every third week)

About the Role

Bathurst Regional Council’s Community Services section oversees a broad range of community programs, activities and services to promote greater community outcomes in the Bathurst region. These include, but not limited to; Bathurst Regional Youth Council, Seniors Festival, Community Safety, NAIDOC celebrations and the management of Child Care Services.

We are currently looking for a person with strong administrative skills to coordinate office operations and provide administration support to the Manager of Community Services and the Community Services Team.

To be successful for this role, you will need to have excellent administration and communication skills. You will need to be able to work with a high level of efficiency, within tight deadlines, have excellent customer service skills and demonstrate initiative with high attention to detail.

Key requirements:    
  • Provide administrative support to Council’s Community Services section, committees and groups
  • Administer and support the organisation of Community Services projects, activities, functions, events and meetings
  • Coordinate special and/ or ongoing projects/ programs/ activities as required
  • Administration of communications and correspondence
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent with a minimum of three years relevant experience
  • Experience in updating/ maintaining databases and registers
  • Good research and analytical skills with the ability to source information and interpret data.
