About the role


The Executive Assistant provides support to the Chief Operating and Financial Officer (COO/CFO) to ensure the effective day-to-day operations of CERA. You will also provide secretarial support to the CERA board and several key committees. You will co-ordinate governance matters as well as provide general occasional support for other Research Support areas. This is a key role will be the point of contact between CERA and its stakeholders, including the University of Melbourne and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

This role reports to the Chief Operating and Financial Officer, while supporting the wider executive and CERA Board. This new position provides an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to supporting the work of the organisation.


About you


You will have experience and a proven track record in a similar role, ideally within a complex organisation. You will be a self-starter with initiative and good organisational skills, including the ability to forward plan and manage multiple and tight deadlines.    

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders from a broad range of backgrounds are a must. You will also demonstrate sound judgement and understand the importance and responsibility in dealing with confidential information and key relationships.
