City of Newcastle (CN) is looking for a Development Coordinator to join our Regulatory, Planning & Assessment team (RPA), reporting to the Development Assessment Section Manager. What’s the focus?

As the Development Coordinator you will take full ownership for leading a highly experienced team to provide a high level of professional service and specialist technical advice to CN and the community. This position will ensure that development in the Newcastle local government area is consistent with planning instruments, development policies, applicable relevant codes and environmental legislation, provides high quality-built form design and leads a customer excellence response.  

You will also manage team budgets, formulate, leading a customer excellence focus and implement systems, processes and procedures that deliver continuous improvement, with regards to policy liaison and advice, development assessment and advice, legal case management and risk management.
