Cultural Development Officer

  • Part Time Job Share - 0.6 FTE
  • Maximum term maternity leave replacement until December 2016
  • Band 6 ($38-$45 per hour)

Cardinia Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and creative person to deliver innovative arts and cultural programs and services to our growing community. You will have knowledge of cultural development issues and processes, with proven experience in events management.

Well-developed written and verbal communication and negotiation skills are essential in this role. You will be involved in the development, implementation and review of arts and cultural policies, plans and strategic directions in line with industry trends, local needs and the Council Plan. You will also work closely with the community, arts practitioners and other council staff to deliver a range of innovative cultural programs and services, including public art, community art projects and events.

You will have a background in the arts, be able to generate and deliver great program ideas with outstanding organisation and administrative skills.
