The Opportunity:
The Senior Project Officer will support the development of The George Institute’s Impact Report (0.6 FTE) and the functioning of the global Advisory Boards (0.4 FTE). The role is situated in the Institute’s global Impact & Engagement team.
The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities related to the Impact Report and the Advisory Boards, ensuring they are delivered within budget, on time and to an excellent standard. The role involves coordinating with a range of internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that project outcomes align with the Institute's strategic objectives.
For the Impact Report, this will include working with external stakeholders including a content creation platform, freelance writer and video production company, and internal stakeholders from the communications, philanthropy, research services and data strategy teams. For the Advisory Boards, the role will involve working with the Global Director, Impact & Engagement to plan and ensure delivery of supporting materials ahead of each meeting; coordinating with Board members to ensure strong attendance and engagement; producing minutes, action points and other materials after each meeting as required; and leading on the administrative aspects of the project.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Project Implementation:
• Implement project plans for the Impact Report and Advisory Boards, adhering to scope, timeline and resources available.
• Track progress towards project milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor and track budget allocated to the projects.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Coordinate stakeholders for both projects, ensuring effective, regular communication and expectation management.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders and keep them informed of project progress and new developments.
• Facilitate collaboration across internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
Quality Assurance:
• Establish and maintain quality standards for project deliverables.
• Conduct regular reviews to ensure project outputs meet required quality benchmarks.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Share regular updates on progress with key stakeholders, including the internal advisory groups supporting each project.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, reports, and post-project evaluations.
• Capture and share learning from each project with relevant stakeholders, including areas for improvement, and report on impact metrics.
