Pro-Rata Salary Range as per below, dependent on experience, skills and capabilities plus 11.5% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit.

Biostatistician Range of $114,000 to $128,000 Base / Senior Biostatistician Range of $136,000 to $147,000 Base

We are looking for someone who is ready to make a significant impact in medical research.  We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biostatistician or Senior Biostatistician to join our team.  You will be collaborating with Researchers and contributing to studies that advance healthcare and improve patient outcomes.

 

The Opportunity: 

The Biostatistician is responsible for the provision of statistical expertise supporting research of The George Institute.  This includes clinical trials, meta analyses, observational studies, surveys and development of new statistical methods.  

The Senior Biostatistician is responsible for the design, analysis and reporting of medical research projects conducted by The George Institute not only in Australia but globally.

•    Can you provide examples of how  you communicated complex statistical findings to stakeholders?

 

Our Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Postgraduate qualification (PhD, MPhil, MSc) in Statistics
  • Experience in statistical analyses and programming within a medical research environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of at least one of the main softwares: R, SAS, Stata
  • Understanding of data management principles and regulatory requirements for clinical trials and medical research
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on quality and timely delivery of work
  • Experience in working collaboratively in a team with researchers and other statisticians
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level problem solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to see the big picture, whilst still maintaining a focus on detail and implementation
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments
  • Strong focus on quality of work.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the position
