Salary Range of $85k to $90k Base (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 11.5% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our External Research Training Program.  This role is an ideal opportunity for an early to mid-career researcher looking to translate their academic experience in a practical setting.

The Project Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating the research training program.  Our successful candidate will be responsible for all program activities from start to finish, managing timelines and general day to day responsibilities ensuring the training programs run smoothly and efficiently.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful Candidate  

Essential

  • Background in research or PhD, including knowledge of topics such as study design, development of protocols and other documents, and clinical trials
  • Experience in administrative support, project coordination, or a similar role.
  • Ability to work effectively with the team during highly intense periods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities and ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously, in small teams, and with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Availability to be on-site when required, both domestically in Sydney and internationally.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the position

Desirable

  • Experience working with projects
  • Experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent Mandarin speaker
