Salary Range of $58,870k to $62,567k Base, (pro rata for part time), (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 11.5% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit

A primary challenge to undertaking research in Australia is the capacity to identify quickly and efficiently the patients and community members eligible and interested in participating. Join Us (www.joinus.org.au) is a nation-wide disease-agnostic research register established in 2020 with the dual goals of facilitating recruitment to research studies undertaken in Australia and enhancing access to routinely collected health data.

Briefly, individuals consent to their data and contact details being held within a secure database that can be used to identify opportunities for their involvement in future research projects, and to be linked in an ongoing way to routinely collected data. This position will work within the Join Us team.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an organised administrator to play a key role in supporting the Join Us team for participant recruitment, communications and researcher request activities.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Responsible for the maintenance and filing of study administrative files.
  • Support the development of the quarterly Join Us newsletter, targeted at all Join Us stakeholders.
  • Assist with content development for Join Us advertisements, media promotions and communication across social media and print media for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be a primary contact for the Join Us email inbox and referring queries to other team members.
  • Support the processing and tracking of researcher requests including liaising with TGI Data Management, the ERICA team at UNSW and the Digital Operations Manager and building campaigns for research projects accessing the Join Us participants.
  • Organise and schedule appointments/meetings, internally and externally, as necessary and prepare minutes of these meetings
  • Regularly update project tracking tools and systems
  • Provide other administrative support to the study team, as required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful Candidate  

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in a health or science discipline or relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in a research or health environment.
  • Strong general administration skills and experience
  • Proven proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and the Internet
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and flexibly i.e. autonomously, in small teams and with a wide range of varying stakeholders
  • Ability to see the big picture, yet still focus on detail
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments
  • Strong focus on quality of work. Desirable
  • Proficiency in the use of the web platforms WordPress, graphic design software (Canva / Adobe Lightroom) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement/ Pardot is highly desirable
