Pro-Rata Salary Range of $94,036 to $100k Base (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 11.5% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit

The Opportunity: 

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Research Associate (SCRA) to join our team. 

This role is dedicated to clinical operations, primarily working on a global stroke platform trial within the Brain Health Program.  The SCRA will be responsible for overseeing start-up and implementation of the trial within various countries, working closely with the Project Manager and supporting the CRAs on the project.

 In support of your application, we ask you address the following criteria in your cover letter:-

  • Experience in clinical trials: Please detail your experience in clinical trials, ensuring you highlight any roles involving preparing ethics submissions, site management and monitoring.
  • Technical writing skills:  Provide examples of types of technical documents you have written
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve: Provide examples from your previous work experience of working with minimal supervision and using critical thinking to problem solve.

Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related science or health care discipline
  • At least 2 years of monitoring experience working on drug intervention trials within an academic environment.
  • Ability to write technical documents such as monitoring plans, site manuals etc
  • Experience in preparation of ethics submissions within Australia
  • Experience of ethical and regulatory requirements for conducting clinical trials in countries other than Australia.
  • Working knowledge and experience implementing project activities in accordance with ICH/GCP
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Excellent knowledge in the application of ICH-GCP guidelines
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws relevant to medical research
  • Excellent skills in MS Office applications including Excel and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well autonomously and within teams.
  • Strong focus on producing the highest quality of work and on ensuring optimum accuracy of outputs
  • Ability and willingness to travel.

Desirable

  • Experience working in stroke trials
  • Fluent in language other than English relevant to one or more of countries involved in the trial
