We are currently looking for community based Registered Nurses to join our VIC team. This role involves the providing of effective leadership, supervision, and clinical support to staff where necessary. The Registered Nurse is to ensure care is provided in accordance with the relevant Professional and Industry Standards, and all legislative requirements.
Main Duties:
The Registered Nurse provides and delivers individual and personalized support to clients in accordance with their care plans and/or medical practitioner’s directions.
The Registered Nurse’s responsibilities may include working under the guidance and supervision of medical practitioners, working with allied health professionals, monitoring and communicating the customer’s condition, and other health and wellness related activities.
The Registered Nurse will demonstrate a commitment to best practice, ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care’s policy and procedures, and legislative requirements
Selection Criteria
Essential:
Current National registration as a Registered Nurse
Evidence of continued professional development in accordance with the National Registration Board’s standards.
Current and clear Criminal Record Check
Current Working with Children Check (where required in accordance with state based legislation)
Current Driver’s Licence
Current First Aid certificate
Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication skills,
Computer literacy
Experience in the supervision of staff members.
Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles
Excellent people, problem solving, and conflict management skills
Ability to work as part of a Team and maintain good working relationships
Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
Desirable:
Previous experience in the health/aged care, non for profit, community services sector
Reliable motor vehicle (including valid registration and comprehensive third party insurance)
Mobile phone with internet connection compatible with Just Better Care requirements (Mobility Options and Intranet requirements
