Located in High Wycombe in the City of Kalamunda, Karingal Green sits on a spacious 1.6 hectares of land nestled at the foothills of the Darling Scarp amongst lush natural bushland.

The thoughtfully designed community will include 160 residential aged care beds catering to all levels of care needs. The home offers generously appointed, modern accommodation designed to suit the specific needs of residents; beautiful living and garden spaces; a wellness centre, hydrotherapy pool, gymnasium, café and cinema; an on-site allied and primary health clinic; and a dedicated research, training and education centre.

At Karingal Green we are building a team of compassionate and caring people who will work to create an environment that’s loving, caring and supportive, whilst providing the highest standard of clinical care consistent with the Hall & Prior Aged Care Group.

We are seeking medication competent Care Professionals to join the new team at Karingal Green.

We are looking for experienced Carers who are deemed medication competent by Hall & Prior and/or are willing to receive training through NMTAFE, and achieve a nationally recognised qualification skill set to work as a medication competent carer at Karingal Green.  

Applicants needs to be available from 30th of March until 9th of April to complete and attend the course.

Applicants who are deemed medication competent must have completed the following courses:

  • HLT46015/ HLTHPS007 Administer and monitor medications
  • HLTAAP001 Recognise healthy body systems
  • CHCPAL002 Deliver care services using a palliative approach
  • CHC43015/ BSBMGT401 Show leadership in the workplace
  • HLT33115/ HLTAIN001 Assist with nursing care in an acute care environment


 To be successful in this position you will possess the following:

  • Certificate III Individual support or equivalent
  • Medication competent or willing to obtain qualification
  • Successfully complete our Language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment
  • Experience working within the Aged Care Setting
  • Ability to follow nursing procedures as directed and in line with care plans
  • Ability to work as a team player with strong communication skills
  • Compassionate, dedicated and caring nature with the ability to build strong rapport with care recipients
  • Current National Police Certificate or willing to obtain
  • Ability to report and document nursing care procedures
  • Computer skills
  • Competent  documentation skills
  • Flexible working attitude with willingness to work as required across a 24/7 rotating roster
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Act (1997)
  • Full work rights in Australia
