About the role 

As the THERAPIST you will be a part of an integrated team comprising of Carers, Social Workers, and Support Workers, you will facilitate and enable a therapeutic environment for children and young people placed with Key Assets within Key Assets policies and procedures in accordance with the Key Care Team frameworks. The Therapist will also provide advice and consultation to our Social Workers, Support Workers, and other staff in the delivery of therapeutic care to children and young people.

 

The successful candidate will

  • Have significant experience of working with children and young people in care and/or those who care for them
  • Have extensive experience and knowledge of the impact of trauma on children and of attachment theory
  • Be able to work systemically
  • Hold a recognised relevant qualification in Clinical Psychology (Provisional Psychologists will be considered), or Clinical Social Work, and be registered or eligible for registration with a recognised body
  • Have experience in facilitating individual/ group therapeutic training workshops
  • Possess excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Have experience of writing reports and carrying out broad based assessments drawing upon contemporary theory and research
  • have ability to Ensure compliance with child safe/child protection procedures and Key Assets policies and procedures 
  • have a working knowledge of relevant Child Protection Legislation

HOURS: Full Time = 37.5 hrs/wk, flexibility is required due to travel (as some positions will work and travel within the community), 'Casual' - Hours are needs based. Hours are also not consistent / regular at times.

COMMENCEMENT: Occurs when all statutory and personal checks have been satisfactorily completed. Departmental checks may take up to 28 business days to process which can cause delays in commencement.
