Our Greenway Views village located in Tuggeranong ACT is currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to join the team! We are looking for someone who wants to empower others through best practice and innovative education approaches. 

The Clinical Nurse Educator is an integral part of our village. In this role, you will be a role model of clinical expertise, using your teaching skills to mentor, promote best practice and grow our care team. The Clinical Nurse Educator works in collaboration with the National Care Education Manager and the Clinical Educator team to plan, implement and evaluate educational strategies for the nurses and carers in our village.

This is a permanent full-time role.

 

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively with the National Care Education Manager to develop and deliver mandatory education and other training based on identified need.
  • Aligning all learning and development activities with LDK’s vision and values and relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards and guidelines relevant to the Aged Care environment
  • Providing clinical mentorship, support, feedback and competency-based assessment of the care team.
  • Facilitation and delivery of the Care Orientation Program
  • Monitor quality of care delivery, identify training gaps and support staff through curriculum development.
  • Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of education delivered.
  • Supporting learning development and training record management using a Learning Management System (LMS) – LDK Academy.
  • Actively seeking and facilitating on-site learning and development opportunities from external providers.
  • Actively seeking and supporting staff with scholarship opportunities and external learning opportunities.

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE) or current enrolment in this qualification.

Professional Experience

  • Relevant clinical or educational post graduate qualifications. 
  • At least four years post registration experience (including 3+ years of experience in the relevant specialist field).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches.
  • Prior experience with learning management systems (LMS).
