About the Role
We are seeking a permanent part-time (20 hours per week) Maintenance Assistant who will help our team in maintaining the exceptional appearance and condition of our Amberfield village and its buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.
Role Responsibilities:
As Maintenance Assistant, you will undertake regular corrective and routine planned preventative maintenance and grounds work, including but not limited to:
- Completing visual inspections of the building and equipment to identify items that require maintenance or repairs.
- Carrying out minor repairs, replacing light bulbs, changing washers and seals, water blasting, etc.
- Completing general garden and grounds duties.
- Responding to maintenance issues (including requests and complaints) in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking maintenance duties – previous experience in a Retirement Living or Aged Care environment would be highly regarded
- Experience in planning and managing job allocations in a timely manner
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Sound knowledge of computer systems
- Understanding of and empathy towards our residents and providing support with Love, Decency and Kindness
