About The Role
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for all aspects of planning, implementing and evaluation educational strategies for the village care team. Specific responsibilities for the Clinical Nurse Educator include but are not limited to:
- Facilitation and delivery of the Care Orientation Program.
- Working collaboratively with the National Care Education Manager to develop and deliver mandatory education and other training based on identified need.
- Aligning all learning and development activities with relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards and guidelines relevant to the Aged Care environment.
- Providing clinical support, feedback and competency-based assessment of the care team.
- Identifying and responding to the learning needs of individuals and the service.
- Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of education within care.
- Supporting learning development and training record management using a Learning Management System (LMS) – LDK Academy.
- Actively seeking and facilitating on-site learning and development opportunities from external providers.
- Actively seeking and supporting staff with scholarship opportunities and external learning opportunities.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Current Registration with APRHA as a Registered Nurse.
- Certificate IV in workplace training and education or current enrolment in this qualification.
- Relevant clinical or educational post graduate qualifications. At least 12 months’ experience working in the relevant clinical area related to this qualification or four years post registration experience (including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field).
- Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches, including learning management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the inter-disciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
