About the Role

 

The Sous Chef is a key component of our Hospitality team within the village. You will be providing a range of comprehensive kitchen duties and demonstrating a high level of hygiene standards while working alongside fellow kitchen staff, reporting into the Executive Chef. Using your experience and knowledge in the creative world of hospitality you'll be developing an exciting variety of recipes and menu designs, while sharing your skills and training with new and existing kitchen staff.   • Developing recipes, food presentation and designing menus
  • Preparation and service of meals
  • Assist in overseeing the kitchen
  • Supervise and train new/existing kitchen staff
  • Assist with managing food costs
  • Assist in the maintenance of stock levels
  • Undertake all duties in accordance with food safety and hygiene legislations
  • $85k + superannuation 

 

About You

  • Quality driven foodie with an eye for detail
  • Technically sound cooking skills with a modern approach
  • Tech savvy with proven administration skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Proven hands on kitchen experience
  • Current trade qualification - Cert III in Commercial Cookery
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • (Desirable) Awareness of the dietary requirements of the elderly.
