About Greenway Views
LDK Seniors’ Living’s flagship village, Greenway Views, is in Greenway, Tuggeranong in Canberra, opposite the South Point shopping centre and walking distance to the Tuggeranong town centre. The village consists of 327 apartments, spread over five buildings that is about half a kilometre long from end-to-end. Greenway Views is home to nearly 400 residents over the age of 65. The village has over 6,000 square metres of communal space facilitating social connectedness and a vibrant village community. LDK delivers lifestyle-for-life through a variety of age-friendly facilities, amenities and activities for both independent and non-independent residents. On-site facilities include a gym, art centre, chapel, dance room, theatre, library, several hospitality outlets, village shed, barber shop, hairdresser, medical consultation room, grocer, purpose designed meeting spaces and a dog park.
About the Role
To provide a high level of effective and holistic individualised nursing care by using a problem-solving approach for planning, delivery and evaluation of the care require for each resident, whilst acting in ways that respect the dignity and privacy of all residents.
LDK offers an hourly rate per hour based on experience.
Shift times are Wednesday to Saturday 1430pm - 2230pm (4 shifts per week)
Role Responsibilites:
- Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual clinical case management to village residents.
- Promote and deliver a holistic approach to care, focussing on the needs and rights of village residents and/or community clients (as required) in accordance with Consumer Directed Care (CDC) principles, including:
- Assessment, prevention, early detection, referral and health promotion.
- Quality customer care.
- Liaise with residents, their families and the Clinical Case Management team to ensure that care plans accurately reflect the care needs of the village resident, and aligns to that resident’s wishes, goals and preferences.
- Provide comprehensive, safe and effective evidence-based care to achieve identified individual health outcomes.
- Provide education to village residents oriented towards the promotion of health improvements.
- Provide support, direction and education to shift care team (EN & Personal Care Assistants) including newer or less experienced staff.
- Provide clinical leadership for the shift care team including:
- Attending to incidents or issues requiring clinical escalation.
- Ensuring compliance with incident reporting processes; and
- Escalating issues to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
- At all times operate within relevant professional requirements including:
- National competency standards for the Registered Nurse.
- ICN Code of Ethics for Nurses;
- Code of Conduct for Nurses; and
- Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.
- Actively pursue continuing self-education, professional development and remain current with contemporary nursing practices.
- Promote and contribute to clinical governance and quality management across LDK Healthcare policies, procedures and systems.
- Report practices that may breach legislation, policies and procedures relating to nursing practice or LDK Healthcare to the appropriate person.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Current Registration with APRHA as a Registered Nurse. Current and valid AHPRA registration status is essential. You will be required to renew and maintain AHPRA registration on an ongoing basis as a condition of employment for this position.
- Relevant experience working in the Aged Care or Community Care environment with 3 years of experince (desirable)
- Demonstrated competence in the provision of contemporary nursing care including medication management, clinical assessment and relevant documentation
- Demonstrated skills in complex wound management, chronic disease management, medication administration, continence and/or palliative care (highly desirable)
- Ability to use technology relevant to the delivery of nursing/care services
- Demonstrated competence in the financial link between service delivery and funding framework (such as HCPs, CHSPs) (desirable)
- Understanding of all relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards, and guidelines relevant to the Aged Care environment with a particular emphasis on funding, Quality Systems, Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Proven ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a highly regulated and complex environment.
