About Greenway Views
LDK Seniors’ Living’s flagship village, Greenway Views, is in Greenway, Tuggeranong in Canberra, opposite the South Point shopping centre and walking distance to the Tuggeranong town centre. The village consists of 327 apartments, spread over five buildings that is about half a kilometre long from end-to-end. Greenway Views is home to nearly 400 residents over the age of 65. The village has over 6,000 square metres of communal space facilitating social connectedness and a vibrant village community. LDK delivers lifestyle-for-life through a variety of age-friendly facilities, amenities and activities for both independent and non-independent residents. About the Role
We are looking for an overnight Senior Registered Nurse who can work 3-4 shifts Tuesday to Thursday 2230pm - 0730am
As a Senior Registered Nurse you will be required to deliver nursing care and oversight to village residents, including those requiring higher levels of care such as dementia and palliative care services. You will supervise Personal Care Assistants, Enrolled and Registered Nurses on shift, providing them with clinical leadership. Most importantly, you will be an advocate and promote the LDK values of Love, Decency and Kindness.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual clinical case management to village residents and/or community clients (as required)
- Manage medication, wound care and other clinical services to residents.
- Lead, mentor and train junior RNs, running micro sessions, group activities, competency assessments and seminars in areas of clinical specialty as required.
- Work with the Village Care Manager to identify gaps in training.
- Develop a program of clinical audits in conjunction with the National and Village Care Managers and implement them according to the program.
- In conjunction with the Village Care Manager, and Palliative Care Consultant, ensure all aspects of palliation are delivered to the highest standard.
- Support the Dementia Program Coordinator and all care staff to deliver best practice dementia care
- Act as a role model to other RNs with respect to accurate and timely documentation completion.
- Promote and contribute to clinical governance and quality management across LDK Healthcare policies, procedures and systems.
- Report practices that may breach legislation, policies and procedures relating to nursing practice or LDK Healthcare to the appropriate person.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Current Registration with APRHA as a Registered Nurse. Current and valid AHPRA registration status is essential. You will be required to renew and maintain AHPRA registration on an ongoing basis as a condition of employment for this position.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience working in the Aged Care or Community Care environment (desirable)
- Demonstrated high-level competence in the provision of contemporary nursing care, including medication management, clinical assessment, and relevant documentation
- Demonstrated specialty skills in complex wound management, chronic disease management, medication administration, continence, and/or palliative care (highly desirable)
- High level of confidence in using technology relevant to the delivery of nursing/care services
- Demonstrated competence in the financial link between service delivery and funding framework (such as HCPs, CHSPs)
- Understanding of all relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards, and guidelines relevant to the Aged Care environment with a particular emphasis on funding, Quality Systems, Accreditation and Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Proven ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a highly regulated and complex environment.
