About Greenway Views
LDK Seniors’ Living’s flagship village, Greenway Views, is in Greenway, Tuggeranong in Canberra, opposite the South Point shopping centre and walking distance to the Tuggeranong town centre. The village consists of 327 apartments, spread over five buildings that is about half a kilometre long from end-to-end. Greenway Views is home to nearly 400 residents over the age of 65. The village has over 6,000 square metres of communal space facilitating social connectedness and a vibrant village community. LDK delivers lifestyle-for-life through a variety of age-friendly facilities, amenities and activities for both independent and non-independent residents. On-site facilities include a gym, art centre, chapel, dance room, theatre, library, several hospitality outlets, village shed, barber shop, hairdresser, medical consultation room, grocer, purpose designed meeting spaces and a dog park.
About the Role
This role is responsible for providing warm, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service to our residents and guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently delivered and maintained in line with resident expectations. In addition, this role will play an active role in supporting and guiding our food and beverage team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This includes assisting with staff training, mentoring, and daily supervision to ensure smooth service operations, adherence to policies and procedures, and the delivery of an outstanding dining experience.
The successful candidate for this role will be working from Wednesday to Sunday, 0830am - 1700pm and on public holidays as needed.
Role Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Hospitality Manager and Assistant Manager, duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervision, training and coordination of food and beverage employees working in the café
- Manage, coach, and train the casual employee team to deliver the required expectations
- Maintain stock control of food and beverages by communication of orders and keeping set par stocks
- Leading and creating a warm and welcoming environment for all residents, guests, and employees
- Ensure all food items sold are charged to the correct guest account or internal department account
- Ensure food is rotated with minimal wastage
- Communicate daily on food level requirements to avoid
- Ensure that resident and guest requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered

Qualifications/Certificates/Professional Experience
- 2 years of experience working in a similar role and/or environment
- Previous experience working in a team supervisory role within restaurant, café, and bar environment
- Ability to work Wednesday – Sunday between 0830am to 1700pm
- Ability to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities in a busy environment
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills with an engaging and friendly personality
- Ability to take initiative and resolve queries in a practical and positive manner
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Courteous and pleasant attitude towards residents, guests, and colleagues
Highly desirable:
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- Completion of accredited Barista Course
