About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Arts Facilitator to lead Art programs and disability services located in Rockhampton.

The successful applicant will be responsible to work with a team of Disability Support Workers, ensuring service delivery is reflective of customer needs and aligned to agreed quality outcomes for the individual and organisation.

Primary duties will include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of agreed quality services to clients in line with their individual service plan and Multicap’s strategic priorities for the service and organisation.
  • Providing leadership, guidance and supports to Direct Support Staff.
  • The position is a permanent part-time position for 28 hours per fortnight.

About you

To be considered for the position, you will ideally have:

  • Demonstrated advanced skills in assisting adolescents and adults with disabilities, particularly those with complex support needs.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams including well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • QUalifications and/or experience in visual arts
  • Demonstrated ability and skill to work within the Individual Planning process for persons with an intellectual disability
  • Documentation of recent Art practice.
  • Experience in coordinating and administering the delivery of dynamic services
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of the Queensland Disability Services Act 2006,(including amendments relative to restrictive practice) and National Disability Service Standards
  • Knowledge of and capacity to apply Equal Opportunity and Workplace Health & Safety principles in the workplace

Mandatory requirement

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a positive notice from Disability Services (Yellow Card), Working with Children Check (Blue card) and in some circumstances National Criminal History check. You must also have NDIS Worker Orientation certificate completed and please login to https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/ if you haven't obtained the certificate already.

Salary sacrifice + Meal entertainment

Attractive Salary packaging including $15,900 packaging limit per FBT year (1 April- 31 March) and $2,550 per year for meals and entertainment expenses.
