Wake/Sleep Over Shift

Permanent Part Time - 40 Hours/Fortnight

About the role –

We are seeking 2 Permanent Part Time Disability Support Workers to fill the wake shift roster at our Morayfield SIL.

In supporting people with disabilities out in the community, you'll be providing opportunities to create friendships, connecting with others in the community and enhancing their social experiences.

Role requirements –

  • Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support OR Experience within the industry (eg. disability, mental health, aged care, individual support, community services or youth work etc.)
  • Experience with challenging and complex behaviours (further training is provided)
  • Must be able to work wake shifts
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver great customer experiences in alignment with the service of support

Mandatory Requirements –

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a positive notice from Disability Services (Yellow Card) and a Working with Children Check (Blue card)
  • Nationally accredited CPR and Senior First Aid certificated
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (completed here: https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au)
  • Driver’s license
  • Excellent communication, fluent in English and very good writing skills
  • Right to work in Australia

What you’ll receive –

  • Salary Packaging including $15,900 packaging limit per FBT year (1 April- 31 March) and $2,550 per year for meals and entertainment expenses.

  • Support to complete Certificates in disabilities and care (precises certs required)
