We are seeking multiple casual Disability Support Workers, to support persons with a disability in Eight Mile Plains.

It is a requirement of this role to support customers in their daily routine which may include accessing the community, personal care, household tasks, transport, utilization of public transport with a view to enhancing the capacity of our customers to fully participate in their local community. In supporting them out in the community, you'll be providing opportunities to create friendships, connecting with others in the community and enhancing their social experiences. 
 
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have:
  • Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support OR
  • Experience within the industry (eg. disability, mental health, aged care, individual support, community services or youth work etc.) 
  • Strong background of working with complex behaviours and needs
  • Have flexibility to work outside of school hours, sleepover shifts, weekends and short shifts and have the ability to pick up additional shifts
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR, or willing to obtain one
  • Current Open Drivers License (mandatory)
  • Competency in augmentative communication would be highly regarded as are skills and experience in the development and implementation of customer support plans.
 
Successful candidates will be required to hold a Blue & Yellow Card (Multicap can help you with this application process).
