About the Opportunity
MDS is seeking to employ Permanent and Casual Support Workers. Candidates who can speak fluent Vietnamese, Assyrian or Arabic are considered highly desirable. These positions will assist adults with a disability in the community, day programs and in a one on one setting.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Assist participants to participate in a range of meaningful activities that promote inclusion
- Facilitate programs that promote innovative service delivery that meets the needs of service participants
- Assist participants with personal care requirements including toileting, feeding, hygiene and medication.
- Undertake a Key Worker role in supporting participants to achieve outcomes
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience working with adults with a disability
- Senior First Aid
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
Desirable:
- Fluent in Vietnamese, Assyrian or Arabic
The positions available range from Casual to Permanent Part Time. Permanent positions will operate Monday - Friday 65 hours per fortnight. Candidates will need to be willing to work in the Liverppol regions. The role is covered under the SCHCADS Award. Also offered are salary packaging, flexible working hours and leave loading.
