About the role
Our people and community are the heart of all that we do and ensuring that our staff work in safe and supportive workplace is a high priority to us.
This position, responsible for providing high-quality customer support and waste service administration. This role is essential to maintain our service data to ensure that properties serviced by Council are charged appropriately and that eligible properties are accessing appropriate service and concessional discounts on their waste charge based on the services they receive.
Skills and experience require to perform the role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound computer skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications and other council systems.
- Demonstrated time management and administration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and individually to manage a varied workload, undertake a variety of tasks and achieve common group goals as well as individual goals.
- Strong customer service skills and the capacity to manage difficult customers.
- Experience in rates and revenue in a local government context would be highly regarded.
- Minimum of a Certificate III in accounting, business administration or similar, is desirable.
