About the role
Join a dynamic Building Projects Unit and play a key role in supporting the delivery of Council’s Capital Works Program.
The Project Support Officer works alongside a team of experienced Project Managers, providing day-to-day coordination and administrative support across a range of projects. This role is integral to enabling the efficient and effective delivery of projects that contribute to Council’s community infrastructure outcomes.
In addition to supporting project delivery, the role plays an important part in strengthening project management practices across the unit. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of best-practice processes, systems, and tools, while fostering a positive, collaborative, and highly engaged team environment.
What we are looking for
- A strong commitment to community outcomes and delivering a positive customer experience, both internally and externally
- Demonstrated experience using corporate systems such as procurement and invoicing (e.g. NAV) and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and professional documentation
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Highly organised, with strong administrative skills and a high level of accuracy in record keeping
Skills and experience require to perform the role
- Relevant experience in project support, business support, or administration roles
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, consult, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships, solve problems, and drive improvements
- Experience supporting projects or business functions, with exposure to records management, procurement, and financial processes
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
