About the role
As a School Crossing Supervisor, you will assist students and families to travel safely to and from school. The crossings are located at selected intersections, pedestrian light crossings and at flagged crossings across the city.
Our crossings operate Monday to Friday (during school terms) between the hours of 8.00am and 9.00am, and 3.00pm and 4.00pm.
Skills and experience required to perform this role
- Available to work Monday to Friday short shift 8am until 9am and 3pm until 4pm during the school term
- Due to the nature of this role, be medically fit
- Whilst we try to allocate you to one crossing, you may be required to work at another Merri-bek site
- Be willing to work in varying weather conditions
- Have good communication skills
- Currently have or willing to get a Working with Children Check
- Enjoy engaging with children and families
- Able to use a mobile phone or willing to learn
