Forming part of the Corporate Services Department, this position contributes to the organisations goals by providing supervision and leadership to the Network Administrator and the Information Services Support Officer in addition to managing and maintaining Council’s system infrastructure including, server, databases, testing computer equipment, firewalls, malware and other software and hardware.
It is essential for the successful applicant to possess relevant formal technical and tertiary qualifications at Degree level or higher in Information Services. It is recognised that this may be a combination of qualifications and specific industry certifications which are deemed to be equivalent. Extensive experience working within the Information Services environment is also required.
Reporting to the Information Services Manager, the successful applicant must have the proven ability to provide database consultation and support whilst displaying the knowledge and skills necessary for effectively integrating Council’s core systems to other systems that may be introduced to improve the effectiveness of Council’s operations.
Experience working in a Local Government context and with Council’s core systems including Authority would be viewed as a strong advantage, but is not essential.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2017 – from Band 3 Level 3 Grade 16 Step 1 $1,603.50 to Step 3 $1,723.75 per 35hr week with grading dependent upon level of experience and qualifications.
