The role of the Design and Traffic Engineer will provide engineering design, estimating and contract administration for works and provide technical advice on local and regional road networks to developers, consultants, the general public and Council staff.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this position you will need to have:

  • Degree in Engineering(Civil Major)
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Experience/Proficiency in Autodesk Civil Site Design/Civil 3D
  • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience
  • Current and maintained Drivers licence
  • SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Other details relating to this position are:

  • Grade 13 - 15 weekly salary of $1,393.60 to $1,778.19. Salary to be determined dependent upon the qualifications and experience of successful applicant
  • Additional 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance in accordance with Award provisions
  • Employer Superannuation of 9.5% applies
  • 35 hour working week with a fortnightly RDO
  • Employment conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2020
  • Financial assistance with relocation expenses
