Following a recent review of our service hours, Relationships Australia South Australia is seeking professionals to join our Children’s Contact Service (CCS). The program facilitates children’s contact with their parents or other parties where family separation has occurred.

CCS Worker (5 positions)

The CCS worker facilitates the changeover of children between parties and conducts supervised contact visits with non-residential parents.

Opportunities are available on a fortnightly basis at:

  • Hindmarsh site on Saturday (0.1 FTE)
  • CBD site on Thursday and Campbelltown on a Saturday (0.2 FTE)
  • Campbelltown site on Saturday and Sunday (0.2 FTE)
  • Elizabeth site on Friday, Saturday and Monday (0.24 FTE)
  • Elizabeth site on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (0.24 FTE)

Position description

CCS Supervisor (3 positions)

The CCS Supervisor oversees the professional, safe, and child-friendly operation at a site. You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of changeovers and supervised contact visits with non-residential parents.

Opportunities are available on a fortnightly basis at:

  • Port Adelaide on a Thursday and Hindmarsh on Friday and Saturday (0.26 FTE)
  • CBD site on Thursday, and Campbelltown on a Saturday and Hindmarsh on Monday (0.24 FTE)
  • Elizabeth site on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (0.3 FTE)

Position description

Essential Requirements:

  • For a contact worker, certificate III (AQF Level 3) in Early Childhood Education and Care, Community Services, or the equivalent qualification or experience.
  • For a supervisor, a bachelor’s degree (AQF Level 7) in a relevant field such as social work, psychology, or counselling, or the equivalent experience.
  • A DCSI - Child Related Employment Screening Clearance is essential and employment is not able to commence without a current clearance.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Experience in working with domestic and family violence, child protection and mental health issues would be favourable.
