Our client is the Uniting Church in Australia (Queensland). Your role will be within the Queensland Synod’s Finance & Property Services, which seeks to facilitate the effective stewardship of the church’s resources to enable the people and activities of the church to faithfully live in worship, witness and service.
About the Opportunity
The Uniting Church in Australia (Queensland) is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team in their Finance & Property Services division, based in Auchenflower, just west of the Brisbane city.
As part of this challenging role, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality financial planning, analysis, and evaluation for budgeting, financial performance, business proposals, financial models and plans. Your other responsibilities will include to:
- Coordinate budget management processes;
- Provide analysis and reporting of financial and non-financial performance;
- Perform financial analysis to support business planning, forecasting, and financial management;
- Perform financial system administration, such as monitoring financial system software
The Uniting Church in Australia (Queensland) is looking for a highly experienced Management Accountant, with demonstrable accounting experience in a commercial business role. You’ll have relevant tertiary qualifications in business, with eligibility for professional membership of an Australian accounting body.
The successful candidate will also have previous experience using a computerised accounting system and an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. You’ll be a highly analytical Accountant with excellent problem-solving and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to present complex financial information in a user-friendly manner.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with competitive remuneration, circa $75,000 - $80,000 + super, commensurate with the skills and experience that you will bring to this role.
